Postpartum Care

Postpartum Doula Information

If you are interested in a free initial consult for my postpartum services, please contact me to see if I would be a good fit for your growing family! For our initial consult, we can decide to meet virtually or in person.

I prefer to take no more than two postpartum families per month, as this helps give my full attention to your family!

If you decide to hire me as your postpartum doula, I am happy to meet once again prior to my first shift in order for you to show me around and get acquainted with your family.  Otherwise, I will come 15-20 minutes early on the day/night of my first shift.

We will also sign an agreement prior to or on my first shift.

Postpartum Doula Investment

Raising a baby can bring mixed emotions. My postpartum role is to offer as much support and help as I can!

Daytime support rate is $30/hour with a minimum of four hours at a time and a maximum of eight hours a time.

Overnight support rate is $35/hour with a minimum of eight hours at a time and a maximum of ten hours at a time.

Postpartum care during the day may include the following:

-Allowing yourself time to rest while I watch your newborn

-Help with making sure baby has a proper latch (if nursing)

-General education and information regarding newborns

-Watching other children so you have time with baby

-Referrals as needed for birther and/or baby

-Picking up the house (light house cleaning)

-Laundry, dishes, washing bottles

-Light meal prep and snacks

-Running errands for you

-Walking your dog

Postpartum care during the overnight

We will establish what this means to you and your postpartum needs. Here are some examples of what this can looks like:

-Overnight care is to focus on baby, so parents can sleep (this looks different from daytime care)

-Feeding baby (pumped breast milk or formula)

-Remaining with baby while parents’ sleep

-Bringing baby to birther to nurse

-Comforting baby

-Changing diapers

*I am COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted.  I am happy to work with individuals who are vaccinated or not vaccinated against COVID-19. If you hire me for postpartum care, I can wear a mask in your home if you feel more comfortable with that. *

I am happy to serve and support all birthers and families. I do not discriminate based on marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identification, religious beliefs, racial identity, cultural background, first time expecting parents or those who already have children.
